Aller Aqua Research presented achievements in African catfish feed formulation

Dr. Florian Nagel presented the intensive research activities with African catfish from fingerlings to market size, with emphasis on the Aller Claria float feed for catfish.

On the 14th of June 2017, Aller Aqua Research was invited to participate in the first network meeting of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) producers in Germany. 24 participants (farmers, academics and governmental authorities) met at the “Sukower Bioenergie & Welsfarm” in Sukow (North-East Germany).

The owners guided a tour through their catfish farm, a typical recirculating indoor unit using the rejected heat from biogas plants. After these impressions, spotlight was given to the presentation by Aller Aqua Research. The intensive research activities with African catfish from fingerlings to market size were highlighted and the successful implementation of ALLER CLARIA FLOAT as the international, high-quality feed for African catfish was emphasized and illustrated.
