The Fish Congress was held for the fourth time
This year the event took at the Sheraton hotel in Sopot (Poland) on march 30th – 31st, 2017.
The Fish Congress is the largest convention of the Polish fish industry, this year gathering a record number of over 300 participants. The conference program included 50 presentations on wide range o topics related to fish processing technology, the future of aquaculture, marketing and promotion, sustainable fisheries and certification, as well as European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
Aller Aqua was also a part of the program. Jacek Juchniewicz explained to us why we should continue to support aquaculture and eat fish. In view of the growing population, limited space for agriculture and high energy prices, we must use the available resources effectively. Farmed fish is the most sustainable solution.
Aquaculture has a bright future and is currently the fastest growing food sector in the world.
