Sales Director for Western Europe

In a newly created position reporting to the Group VP, we are looking for a Sales Director for Western Europe, who can maintain relations throughout Europe and through structured efforts support and develop the individual markets.

 

Responsibilities

The Sales Director’s primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure the development of sales in Western Europe according to the strategy and focus markets.
  • Be responsible for sellers, agents, distributors, and subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate within the strong and long-standing partnerships Aller Aqua has built up over many years.
  • Coordinate product ranges, professional groups, etc.
  • Be responsible for marketing for Western Europe, in collaboration with the Group VP.
  • Report overall structure of the markets, and provide status and action suggestions at country level.
  • Manage sales and activity responsibility via CRM and business plans.
  • Participate with the Factory Director in the management team of Aller Aqua A/S.
  • Develop the sales force through your own and others’ initiatives.
  • Optimise customer agreements.
  • Participate in and take responsibility for projects.

The ideal candidate

Has a robust commercial background and has, for example, an MA, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or MBA in International Business. Being able to work in the right direction with an overview and a practical and pragmatic approach is crucial. We are looking for a Sales Director who also knows how to conduct him- or herself at a strategic level, with a great sense of situation, as the duties in each country require something quite different. The ideal candidate can work together with the Group VP to develop strategy and action plans and can operate in the market as a skilled and inspiring partner who instils trust and respect.

The ideal candidate benefits from an in-depth knowledge and experience of sales in Europe. He/she has been responsible for a several markets and is able to manage different action plans and tasks simultaneously.

The right candidate will have extensive experience with this type of position and can be either experienced or showing potential. Another characteristic of our candidate is a high level of energy and activity as well as a powerful ability to prioritise one’s own and others’ efforts.

The ideal candidate builds confidence and is diligent, humble, and honest. She/he fills his/her “space” naturally, and motivates his or her surroundings. At the same time, the ideal candidate is a hard-line negotiator with a knowledge of the facts and who is always well-prepared.
