Aller Aqua and Local Distributor Collaborate to Host Regional Aquaculture Conference

On June 5, 2025, Aller Aqua, in partnership with King Fish, the official distributor of Aller Aqua products in Kazakhstan, successfully organized a regional aquaculture conference in the vicinity of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The Aller Aqua Group was represented by personnel from Aller Aqua Poland, including Marcin Walczak and Przemyslaw Rutkowski, alongside Dr. Florian Nagel, Head of Research Aller Aqua Group, representing Aller Aqua Research and Development Centre.

King Fish plays a pivotal role not only in distributing Aller Aqua feeds throughout Kazakhstan but also in fostering the growth and modernization of the country’s aquaculture sector. The company operates a dedicated fish farming school, which has trained over 500 new aquaculture farmers in the past five years, exemplifying the shared vision of Aller Aqua and its partners: “Let’s Grow Together.”

The conference attracted participants from across Kazakhstan and neighbouring Central Asian countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. More than one hundred attendees, including fish farmers, government officials, veterinarians, and other industry experts, gathered to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of aquaculture in the region.

Key moments of the conference included a keynote address by the Administrative Head of the Enbekshizakh District, who expressed sincere appreciation for Aller Aqua’s significant contributions to the advancement of local aquaculture. Marcin Walczak, Aller Aqua’s Sales Manager for Central Asia, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing ongoing support and expertise to accelerate the growth of Kazakhstan’s aquaculture industry. Additionally, Dr. Florian Nagel delivered an insightful presentation highlighting Aller Aqua’s scientific approach to feed formulation and the proven effectiveness of its products across various species, with a particular focus on rainbow trout and carp, the predominant farmed species in Kazakhstan.

This conference marks a continuation of Aller Aqua’s dedicated efforts to support aquaculture development in Central Asia. Representatives from Aller Aqua Poland and Aller Aqua Research and Development participated in a similar event in Uzbekistan last year, underscoring the company’s sustained commitment to the region.

Aquaculture plays an increasingly vital role in addressing global challenges related to food security and environmental sustainability. As wild fish stocks face growing pressure from overfishing and climate change, responsible aquaculture offers a sustainable alternative for producing high-quality protein while reducing the ecological footprint of food production. The development of aquaculture in Central Asia not only contributes to regional economic growth but also aligns with global efforts to diversify food sources and ensure a resilient supply of nutritious food for a growing population. Through innovation, education, and collaboration, Aller Aqua and its partners are actively advancing sustainable aquaculture practices, supporting the sector’s critical role as a cornerstone of future global food security.

LET'S GROW TOGETHER!
