Aller Aqua shows strategic support for Africa’s aquaculture policies at the 2nd Regional Conference of the World Aquaculture Society in West Africa

ALLER AQUA WILL DISCUSS ITS STRATEGIC SUPPORT FOR THE POLICY FRAMEWORK OF THE LARGEST AQUACULTURE MARKET IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA EVENT.

Aller Aqua will host a panel session at the World Aquaculture Society (African Chapter/West Africa Region)—WASACWAR's 2nd regional conference on aquaculture—scheduled to hold in Nigeria at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library, Abeokuta, Nigeria, on May 14-17 2023.

As the gold sponsor of the conference, Aller Aqua reconfirms its commitment to continue investment in the sustainable development of the African aquaculture industry. With factories in Egypt and Zambia and technical teams in the region, our support of aquaculture in Africa over the years has been impactful through knowledge-sharing and industry partnerships with fish farmers and critical institutions.

The conference, themed "Sustainable Aquaculture Development for Livelihoods in West Africa," will provide an excellent opportunity for good discussions with our customers and industry policymakers on how our activities at Aller Research and the market expertise of our local teams in the region can further support and develop the aquaculture industry on the continent.

With a focus on charting a framework for aquaculture-specific policies in Nigeria, the event will seek to address issues that will aid the sustainability of aquaculture in the region.

The managing director/country manager for Aller Aqua in Nigeria, Lasisi Nurudeen, believes that WASACWAR events, such as the regional conference, are essential to harnessing aquaculture's vast potential for Nigeria and the whole of the West African region. "The Nigerian aquaculture industry is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa, and it is expected to continue growing rapidly, with many opportunities and challenges. This regional conference provides a platform for discussions and partnerships amongst industry drivers, and we are happy to participate and share knowledge. We believe in the growth and success of the industry in Nigeria and will continue to invest in and contribute to its development with our "Let's grow together" approach.

We look forward to meeting our customers and having interesting discussions to share knowledge and strengthen our partnerships," says Mr. Nurudeen.

Let's grow together!
