Project: One Earth

ONE EARTH focuses on creating innovative bio-based solutions for nutraceuticals, cosmetics, adhesives, fertilizers, and fish feed from residual biomass of animal origin. The project aims to establish integrated circular value chains by utilizing marine biomass for terrestrial products and vice versa, fostering a sustainable carbon cycle.

Aller Aqua will incorporate Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFAs) produced by other partners into the feed formulation and produce test feed for two different fish species to be evaluated in laboratory trials.

Harnessing undervalued resources, such as cheese whey from the dairy sector, to produce polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) presents a remarkable opportunity for resource valorization and utilization. This approach not only maximizes the potential of by-products but also plays a crucial role in broadening the sustainable ingredients portfolio for the aquaculture industry.
