Official visit by Danish Foreign Minister to Aller Aqua Egypt

On Monday, November 3rd, Aller Aqua Group’s Egyptian factory had the honor of receiving a distinguished visit from the Danish Foreign Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

The visit took place at Aller Aqua Egypt, located in 6th of October City, about an hour’s drive from Cairo.

The visit was part of the official opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which the Foreign Minister attended.

“We are very proud to welcome the Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen,” says Henrik Halken, Group Vice President of Aller Aqua Group and Chairman of the Egyptian company.

“Since we established ourselves in Egypt in 2011, we have strived to build a growth-oriented company with skilled local management and employees. Today, Aller Aqua Egypt is our largest production unit within the group. Aquaculture is the world’s fastest-growing food sector – every second fish consumed globally now comes from aquaculture!'' add Henrik Halken.

Aller Aqua Egypt focuses on producing healthy, sustainable food for Egypt’s growing population. In 2023, Aller Aqua Egypt was awarded the "The Crown Prince's Business Award" for its activities in Egypt.

Hussien Mansour, Director and Co-owner of the company in Egypt, continues: "Since we founded the company in 2011, our more than 100 skilled employees have worked with dedication to make a difference in the market. The combination of Aller Aqua’s over 60 years of experience in the field and our local knowledge has been the perfect match, and it shows that Aller Aqua’s motto: ‘Let’s grow together’ is something we live by every day!''

''Our fish feed ensures that fish farmers today use less than half the amount of feed they did before we started. With over one million tons of fish produced, this has made a huge economic difference – and especially when it comes to sustainability,” concludes Hussien Mansour, who hosted the Foreign Minister.
