As a corporate sponsor of the World Aquaculture Society’s African Chapter since 2018, Aller Aqua continues to lead sustainable aquaculture development and stronger value chains across Africa.
Aller Aqua is proud to support the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS-AC). This year, the partnership continues at World Aquaculture Tanzania 2026, one of Africa’s leading aquaculture gatherings, taking place from 1–4 December 2026 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Under the theme “Aquaculture Driving Blue Transformation,” the conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, producers and other stakeholders to explore opportunities for advancing sustainable aquaculture across the continent.
A key highlight will be a plenary presentation by Professor Peter Britz, Professor Emeritus at Rhodes University, titled “Why African Aquaculture Development Needs to Shift from a Technology Transfer Focus to a Value Chain Development Approach.” The topic reflects an important industry priority: moving beyond production technologies alone towards stronger, more commercially sustainable aquaculture value chains.
As a long-standing corporate sponsor, Aller Aqua supports the World Aquaculture Society’s efforts to strengthen the industry across Africa. Beyond producing high-quality fish feeds, Aller Aqua works closely with farmers and aquaculture businesses through technical expertise, research, training and advisory support.
At World Aquaculture Tanzania 2026, Aller Aqua will share insights from its extensive experience across African markets, including its work developing feeds suited to local fish species and farming practices, supporting commercial aquaculture operations, and helping farmers improve production performance.
“Our ambition is to leave a positive mark on the markets where we operate. Particularly in Africa, we have seen the value of hosting seminars that help farmers achieve better results. We have also invested many hours in research to develop feeds suited to African species and farming methods. We believe this is how we can make the greatest positive impact across the aquaculture value chain,” explains Ole Haubro, Sales Director MEA at Aller Aqua.
Aller Aqua will be exhibiting at Booths 23+24, where our team will welcome visitors, exchange industry insights and discuss practical solutions for building more productive and sustainable aquaculture value chains in Africa.
As the conference approaches, Aller Aqua will share further updates on its participation, activities and contributions to the event.
